1. Introduction
Welcome to Fosterli LTD. We provide software solutions to fostering agencies and local authorities. Our platform is also used by fostering applicants, social workers, and panel members. Fosterli LTD is not the primary source of information but acts as a platform to facilitate secure data management for fostering agencies. By accessing and using our platform, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use our platform. Our services are intended exclusively for registered fostering agencies and local authorities within the United Kingdom.
3. Prohibited Activities
Users of Fosterli LTD must not:
- Submit false or misleading information.
- Engage in unauthorised data access or share confidential information unlawfully.
- Misuse fostering-related data in any way.
- Violate any applicable UK regulations related to fostering and child protection, including the Children Act 1989 and GDPR.
4. Third-Party Integrations
Currently, we do not integrate with third-party services, but we may do so in the future. Any third-party integrations will be updated in this policy.
5. Data Handling & Storage
Fostering agencies using our platform are responsible for ensuring GDPR compliance when handling and submitting data. Fosterli LTD acts solely as a data processor and does not determine the purpose or means of data collection. The agency remains the data controller and must obtain necessary consents and ensure lawful processing.
Fosterli LTD ensures compliance with UK GDPR by implementing appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption of sensitive data, access control policies, and security audits to safeguard personal data. Our platform provides agencies with tools to manage data access, retention, and deletion in accordance with their legal obligations.
Fosterli LTD also enters into Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with fostering agencies to define roles, responsibilities, and compliance measures. These agreements outline key obligations such as:
- Data security measures ensuring compliance with UK GDPR.
- Access controls to prevent unauthorised access to personal data.
- Breach notification protocols, including mandatory reporting to agencies and relevant authorities.
- Retention and deletion responsibilities aligned with legal requirements.
- Agency responsibility for obtaining necessary consents before sharing data.
Additionally, we ensure that any sub-processors engaged adhere to GDPR compliance standards and have binding agreements in place to maintain data security.
Agencies share fostering-related data with us. We store this data only for as long as required by the respective local authority and in compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
6. Amendments
Fosterli LTD reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
